Milla Jovovich Biography


Milla Jovovich (born on December 17, 1975) is an American actress, musician, model and fashion designer. During her career, she starred in several science fiction and action themed films. In 1994, she also released a critically acclaimed musical album, The Divine Comedy. In 2003, along with model Carmen Hawk created the clothing line Jovovich-Hawk, which stopped operations in early 2008. She founded her own production company, Creature Entertainment.

She was born in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. In 1981, she and her family left the Soviet Union and moved to London. Later on they lived in Sacramento, California prior of settling in Los Angeles a few months later.

After arriving in the United States, she attended public schools. In seventh grade, she left school for a modeling career.

Jovovich started going to modeling auditions and was signed by Prima modeling agency. She made her first professional model contract in 1988. She later made it to the cover The Face, which resulted to more contracts. She also made it to the covers of Cosmopolitan and Vogue. She was also featured since then on the covers of Mademoiselle, Seventeen, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour and InStyle. She was involved in different campaigns for Christian Dior, Gap, Versace, Donna Karan, Damiani, Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani and Revlon.
